As a dedicated advocate for healing and empowerment, Melissa Sorrentino "Mimi" brings her personal and professional experiences to her work with Release Wellness NYC. Growing up as a first-generation Afro-Latina American, Mimi faced numerous challenges that fueled her passion for supporting others facing similar adversities. Her journey as a loss mom to Elijah has shaped her empathetic approach, allowing her to connect deeply with those who have experienced trauma.

Mimi's academic achievements, including her recent graduation from Long Island University with a degree in Clinical Mental Health, equip her with the knowledge and skills to facilitate meaningful change. Her commitment to fostering curiosity, openness, and authenticity is evident in her efforts to create safe spaces for healing and growth. At Release Wellness NYC, Mimi is dedicated to ensuring that holistic healing practices are accessible to all, particularly within trauma-affected and immigrant communities.

Mimi serves as a Board of Director and holds the position of Marketing & Communications Chair at Release Wellness NYC.
